Turn-Key Forging & Design, Inc. is located in Elk Grove Village, Illinois.  Our 98,000 square foot state-of-the-art forging and design facility is conveniently located near highways I-90, I-294 and Route 83.  The company started full operations in January of 2004, after a year-long renovation of the existing building.

Many of our managers and engineers have spent numerous years in manufacturing and are exceedingly knowledgeable about the machinery and equipment that we operate.  Our large engineering staff prides itself on providing the best support and tooling in the industry.  Our engineers provide daily support to our production team, ensuring the forging process runs smoothly.

All of the tool and die making operations are perfected in-house in our technologically advanced die machining shop.  We rely on our superior equipment, consisting of high speed milling machines (for direct milling), CNC milling machines (for graphite electrodes), die sinkers, and more to produce the highest quality tooling available.

Our state-of-the-art forge shop is comprised of three Chambersburg Impacters and two Lasco Hydraulic Hammers, complete with in-line induction heating systems and automated operations to produce fast cycle times.  We specialize in medium to high volume production runs, capable of manufacturing parts from bars sizes as small as 9/16’ up to a maximum of 2 ¾” diameters.  Our forging technologies coupled with sound engineering practices supply our customers with the high quality forgings they demand.

The Turn-Key manufacturing process includes more than just tooling development and forging.  We are also able to anneal forgings (for desired material properties) in our annealing furnaces, providing consistent final properties of the part.  Additionally, we can utilize specialized equipment for secondary operations, such as bending, piercing, and/or hot coining to produce more complex or precise geometry.  Finally, we can remove excess scale in our blast-cleaning machines, for a cleaner finished forging.
